Andrew has 40 years of extensive and varied banking experience. Understanding first-hand the steep learning curve business owner’s experience, Andrew loves to share his wealth of knowledge with customers and is quick to offer guidance and mentorship for the journey – whether it be a new venture or moving to the next stage of business.
Beginning his career in Melbourne with the State Bank of Victoria and then Commonwealth Bank, Andrew also ventured out of the banking world to run his own business. Working with industrial plastics serving a commercial customer base Andrew knows just what it takes from start to finish, and what help really makes the difference along the way.
Being part of the SCCU team, Andrew has relished being able to be far more responsive to customers. Less red tape and more ‘speed of service’ when it comes to answering financial needs. The ability to take a more personalised, flexible approach, acknowledging ‘one-size’ does not fit all continues to be why Andrew is sought out by customers from Lismore to Tweed Heads.
“Oli and I wish to thank SCCU for the fast turn around on our recent purchase of vacant land. From our initial enquiries for a loan on Friday 5th of May and subsequent supply of documents, SCCU had the formal loan approval back to us by the 25th of May being just under three weeks! This was incredible given my recent terrible experience with Westpac Business finance which took months.
Due to the expertise, speed and efficiency of your team we were then able to bring forward settlement from the original 19th of June to the 9th of June. We look forward to having SCCU assist us with our building construction loan, upon sale of our current home.
We will of course highly recommend SCCU to any prospective purchaser of our home as well as to clients of my practice who need finance in a timely manner. Thank you again to you, your team and the credit manager.”
Andrew has supported local sporting clubs through his children’s involvement over the years, including the Coomera Magpies, Surfers Paradise AFL, and Mudgeeraba Netball. Being an avid AFL and Collingwood fan, he’s also a proud supporter of The Big Freeze co-founded by Neale Daniher and Pat Cunningham to support Motor Neuron Disease (MND). He’s also a passionate supporter of ANZAC Day, attending Dawn Service annually and raising money and awareness for the RSL when he can.
Trust, honesty and integrity are at the heart of what drives Andrew. He’s a ‘meat and potatoes’ kind of guy. After many years on the job, accolades and success, he maintains that his greatest motivation is truly doing good for the customer.
