With a career shaped by complex financial environments, Ben brings more than 18 years of experience to his role as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary at SCCU.

What drew me to SCCU was the opportunity to work with a genuinely customer-owned organisation that is deeply connected to the Northern Rivers. I’m most passionate about building the strong financial foundations and capabilities that help our people grow, support better customer outcomes and create lasting value for the communities we serve.

Ben  is particularly excited by SCCU’s continued digital transformation and the opportunity to help build a strong, sustainable financial future for our customers and local communities.

Known for clear communication and calm judgement, Ben believes that strong financial stewardship should create lasting value. His leadership style is fostered on a collaborative and transparent approach. He sets clear expectations, uses data to support decisions and empowers people to bring their expertise forward, helping teams continually learn and improve.

As a Chartered Accountant and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Ben has extensive expertise across financial strategy, capital and liquidity management, governance, enterprise risk, regulatory reporting and finance transformation.
