‘The recycling machines that will be purchased with this funding are an amazing asset for our community. They will help to reduce plastic waste and will give us a platform to provide education about the recycling process, the critical need to reduce plastic consumption, and to inform our community about non-recyclable plastics. Also, anyone with the desire to learn how to operate the machines safely will be able to use them to create products, thus supporting our local economy. We are incredibly grateful to SCCU for supporting our endeavour to create a community-access plastic recycling centre and are proud to be one of six local organisations that have received funding to ‘Create a Better Future for the Northern Rivers’.
