“Sea Turtles are often presented due to swallowing fishing line, hooks and plastic, and injuries such as boat strike. Whilst the expert team at Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital can undertake life-saving surgeries, the recovery and rehabilitation is critical in the process. The grant from SCCU will allow us to build a Sea Turtle Recovery Dry Docking facility, which will mean that our cases recover fully and quickly, and can be released back into the ocean where they belong”
